The dairy processing and cheese production company Baltic Dairy Board Ltd., with support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will upgrade its production site infrastructure under support program 5.1.1.1. The project will be implemented in Bauska at the following addresses: 2A Stacijas Street, 1 Stacijas Street, 2 Stacijas Street, and 4 Stacijas Street.
To manage traffic more efficiently, a new parking lot for trucks and cars will be built. The facility will be designed to accommodate and serve individuals with disabilities. The adjacent territory around the parking lot will also be enhanced and improved. Currently, the territory is a stretch of black earth, only partially covered by grass.
A total investment of 1.27 million euros will be made to develop the parking lot and enhance the territory. The project’s total eligible costs will amount to just under one million euros (975,868 EUR), half of which—487,934 EUR—will be co-financed by the ERDF.
Implementation of the project began in September of this year and is scheduled to run through March 2027.
In 2023, Baltic Dairy Board Ltd. became part of AB Vilkyškių pieninė, one of Lithuania’s leading dairy companies, and has started efforts to increase its production capacity.
